Along with the blooming flowers and the singing birds, another wonderful sign of spring is the tiny turtle babies emerging from their underground nests! The Sunshine Coast Wildlife Project is seeking assistance from Sakinaw Lake residents. If you see turtle hatchlings or emergence holes please contact Dave and Michelle at 604-989-1007. Your information helps us to identify nesting habitat and monitor the success of this precious endangered species. The attached form includes photos of hatchlings and their distinctive nest holes.
